Open Water Ratings

Confined Environment Diver

Completed training in all confined environment skills and limited theory to permit diving with a parent, Assistant Instructor or OW Instructor buddy in Confined OW or Confined Environment to a depth of 6 m (20 fsw). Minimum age limit - 8 years old.

Junior OW Sport Diver L1

Certified to dive in similar conditions to the training locale during No-Stop-Required Air dives, using two cylinders (one main plus the RBS) with depths limited to 20 m (65 fsw) while diving w. instructor, parent/legal guardian or family member of 18+ years. Age 12 - 16 years.

Open Water Sport Diver L1

Certified to dive in similar conditions to the training locale during No-Stop-Required Air dives, using two cylinders (one main plus the RBS) with depths limited to 30 m (100 fsw). Additional training and experience is required to expand these limitations.

Rescue Diver L2

Trained to enhance their safety and the safety of others, to recognize and to help prevent stressful and emergency situations, to assist divers both under water and on the surface through additional education and experience.

Divemaster L2

The Divemaster may directly supervise and control certified divers, direct and guide dives, conduct underwater tours and assist, as defined by ANDI, the instructor or assistant instructor during all phases of training.

Advanced Openwater Sport Diver L2

Enhanced their diving skills by completing a minimum of 25 dives including SafeAir Sport Diver and 3 selected diving specialties. Limited to Nitrox mixtures of 32% and/or 36% to 40 m/130 fsw during No-Stop-Required profiles with 2 cylinders and 2 gases.

Junior Advanced OW Sport Diver L2

Enhanced their diving skills by completing a minimum of 25 dives including SafeAir Sport Diver and 3 selected diving specialties. Limited to Nitrox mixtures of 32% and/or 36% to 20 m/65 fsw during No-Stop-Required profiles with 2 cylinders and 2 gases.
